Morning Glories in '99
A Competition of The Osaka Morning Glory Club.
The Osaka morning glory club is one of famous morning glory clubs in Japan.
I visited their competition in this summer. There are two sections in a
competition, a large flower section and a bonsai style section. In that
day, the winner of a large flower section was 9.0 inch (center pot). But,
I heard that the competition record of this year was 9.5 inch!!
Left pot is a nice blue spotted flower and right pot is a light brown flower.
Japanese morning glory has many dark color variations.
*Sorry, I'm not a member of this club. I have no seeds of these flowers.

"Shidare" : Weeping type

Their vine can't climb onto a lattice or a fence.
This variegation was found from large flower type.

"Botan" mean a tree peony in English.
This plant bloom white double flowers.
(I showed red double flowers in 1998.)
Their stamens and pistil change to petals.
So, this mutation morning glory produce no seed.
